During the summer, the Program focuses on how change happens on the federal level. The students work full-time at government agencies, advocacy organizations, and think tanks, as well as in positions on Capitol Hill and in the private sector. The students meet weekly for classes and have at least one enrichment event scheduled per week. Their coursework presents a thematic approach to current issues in Law & Public Policy, including the limits of executive and legislative power, religious liberties, racial justice, LGBTQ rights, and student loan debt. Each student is also required to write a policy paper that identifies a needed point of reform and proposes a policy solution that is either legislative, regulatory, or otherwise policy-based.
