Program Overview

Act Locally

After spending the summer thinking globally, the students return to Philadelphia to act locally and consider how change happens at the municipal level in a course that focuses on current policy issues facing the City of Philadelphia.  Former Scholars and alums who work for the City help us craft the research agenda for the class. The Scholars work in collaborative teams to study these issues and present novel suggestions for reform. They write a traditional legal research paper, as well as an issue brief for a general audience and two blogposts.
