Last week, Temple Law’s Introduction to Transactional Skills Program (ITS) wrapped up its 12th year. This unique program in legal education continues to provide our first-year students with a taste of transactional law and a sense of the greater Temple Law community.
Temple Law sent two teams of students to Villanova Law’s first-ever baseball arbitration negotiation competition. Both teams made it to the second day of negotiations, and Temple Law won the entire competition.
A few weeks ago, Temple Law’s Introduction to Transactional Skills Program (ITS) wrapped up its 11th year. This unique program in legal education continues to provide our first-year students with a taste of transactional law and a sense of the greater Temple Law community.

Each fall semester, Temple 1Ls spend three weeks negotiating and documenting some fairly straightforward deal elements in Introduction to Transactions Skills (ITS). Overseen by Professor Andrea Monroe, ITS requires all 1Ls to play the role of attorney to either a budding restauranteur or a potential investor and attempt to strike a deal to open a new restaurant.
Maybe number 7 is the charm, but the seventh anniversary of the Introduction to Transactional Skills Program (ITS), Friday October 12, may have been the most impressive showing yet.
First-year law students negotiate the best deal for their client in Temple’s Introduction to Transactional Skills Program
