Each fellowship will provide $20,000 in financial support to be divided equally between the spring 2023 and fall 2023 semesters. Half of the fellowship will be applied toward the student\u2019s tuition each semester, with the other half available in the form of a stipend, allowing students to conduct guided research focused on technology and its interaction with society. Students will be eligible to receive academic credit for the independent guided research component of the fellowship (3 credit hours). Students already receiving full tuition assistance will receive the full fellowship award as a stipend, while other students will have the fellowship award divided equally between a scholarship and a stipend. In a practicum course, students will engage in a project for a real client under the supervision of an on-site practicing attorney or supervisor and a full-time faculty member. Upon accepting a legal internship or externship position, a student seeking to pursue an Independent Practicum must complete the <a href=\"https:\/\/law.temple.edu\/engage\/law-practicum-approval-form\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Practicum Approval Form<\/span><\/a> to obtain approval from Dean Ramji-Nogales. Once approved, the student will then need to secure a full-time faculty member to act as the faculty supervisor for their practicum. It&#8217;s not too early to do this! That means any study materials you plan to use for an open book exam must be in hard copy.<\/li>\n<li>You are not permitted to talk to your professor about the exam after the day the exam is scheduled even if your exam is deferred and you are studying for it later.<\/li>\n<li>Any questions about a take home exam must be directed to the administration. Thompson, Jr. Local Government Law Scholarships &#8211; Deadline December 15th<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The International Municipal Lawyers Association (IMLA) is pleased to announce the inaugural IMLA Charles W. Thompson, Jr. Local Government Law Scholarships (IMLA Scholarships). The IMLA Scholarships consist of one $5,000 award and two $2,500 awards conferred annually.<\/p>\n<p>First-year and second-year law students are eligible to apply for the IMLA Scholarships, which, if awarded, will apply to their next year\u2019s law school tuition (i.e., their second or third year of law school).
