We hope you all have a safe fall break.\u00a0 On November 24th<\/sup>, Klein Hall and Barrack Hall will be closed.\u00a0 From November 25th<\/sup> – November 27th, Klein Hall will be open and Barrack Hall will be closed.<\/p>\n

Mac Users: Hold Off Upgrading to macOS Ventura<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Apple will soon be releasing its latest operating system, macOS Ventura. At this time, Information Technology Services recommends not installing this upgrade when it becomes available because you may encounter compatibility issues with various applications used at the university.<\/p>\n

Once the university’s vendors certify that key applications used in our environment are compatible, we will notify you that it is safe to install this upgrade.<\/p>\n

January 2023 Graduates – Graduation Application due November 23rd<\/b><\/i><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n

The graduation application process for January 2023 graduates<\/em> is now open and will be available to our students until November 23rd<\/strong>. Please log on to TUportal at http:\/\/tuportal.temple.edu<\/a><\/span>, and follow these steps: Select the \u201cStudent Tools\u201d tab, then \u201cRecords,\u201d then \u201cApply to Graduate.\u201d The system will then ask you to pick your curriculum and term to finalize your graduation application. After you complete the online graduation application form, you will receive a message in your Temple email within 24 hours, confirming receipt of your graduation application. The email notice will also display how your full name will be printed on your diploma. If you need to update how your name is printed on your diploma, please follow the email instructions to submit a name update and supporting name change documentation.<\/p>\n

SPRING 2023 PRACTICUM COURSE OPPORTUNITIES<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Temple Law Practicum Course Overview<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

A practicum course<\/a><\/span> offers students an opportunity to earn 2- or 3-credits in connection with an unpaid experiential opportunity. In a practicum course, students will engage in a project for a real client under the supervision of an on-site practicing attorney or supervisor and a full-time faculty member. We offer two types of practicum courses: School Designed Practicums and Independent Practicums.<\/p>\n

School Designed Practicums: Catalogue Update<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Our School Designed Practicums are pre-approved practicum opportunities with designated faculty supervisors. Each semester, we published a School Designed Practicum Course Catalogue that provides a description for each practicum course and the application requirements. We are pleased to provide our second publication of the Spring 2023 School Designed Practicum Course Catalogue and encourage you to consider the opportunities in this attached document: Spring 2023 School Designed Practicums (2)<\/span><\/a>. We will continue to update and circulate this list in the upcoming weeks as additional opportunities become available or are confirmed.<\/p>\n

Independent Practicums: Approval Deadline & Finding Opportunities on CPM<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

For students who are unable to fulfill their learning goals through an existing in-house clinic, external clinic, or School-Designed Practicum, Independent Practicums provide students an opportunity to design their own experiential opportunity . Upon accepting a legal internship or externship position, a student seeking to pursue an Independent Practicum must complete the Practicum Approval Form<\/span><\/a> to obtain approval from Dean Ramji-Nogales. Once approved, the student will then need to secure a full-time faculty member to act as the faculty supervisor for their practicum. The deadline to submit Practicum Approval Forms for the Spring 2023 semester is December 15, 2022 at 12 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Looking for an externship that may qualify for an independent practicum? Search for Job Listings on the Temple Law CPM<\/span><\/a> and sort job type by “Volunteer Externships”!<\/p>\n

Practicum Registration: Procedure and Deadline<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

All students who wish to register for a practicum must submit a completed Practicum Agreement<\/a><\/span>, signed by the student\u2019s faculty supervisor and site supervisor, through the Practicum Agreement Submission Form<\/span><\/a> on our website. The Practicum Agreement serves as the registration form for the practicum course. Once submitted, the student will be manually registered for their practicum by the end of the add\/drop period. Students seeking to pursue a practicum opportunity for the spring semester should plan on registering for a full course load during general registration in the coming weeks and dropping a course during the add\/drop period if they need to make room in their schedule. The deadline to submit Practicum Agreements for the Spring 2023 semester in January 4, 2023 at 12 pm<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

FINAL EXAM INFORMATION – FALL 2022<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Fall 2022 Exam Schedule<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

As you know, the last day of fall classes is Thursday, December 8, 2022.\u00a0 The exam period begins Friday, December 9, 2022 and ends on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.\u00a0 If you do not see an exam<\/span> listed on the F22 Exam Schedule<\/a><\/span>, please check the F22 Take-Home Exam Schedule<\/a><\/span>. The Exam Conflict Form<\/span><\/a> was due to Molly Levy, Coordinator of Student Services and Wellness Initiatives, at molly.paige.levy@temple.edu<\/span><\/a>, by November 11, 2022 at 2PM<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Saturday Exam Option (Upper-Level Students and 1LE Students)<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

We are administering an exam session on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 9AM.\u00a0 All evening division students (1LE-4LE) may move one exam<\/span> from the originally scheduled date to Saturday, December 17, 2022 (you are not permitted to take an exam<\/span> before the originally scheduled date.)\u00a0 If you are an evening student requesting to take an exam<\/span> on Saturday please fill out this form<\/span><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Any upper-level student who would like to take an exam that was already approved as a conflict<\/u> on Saturday, December 17, 2022, may do so and should complete the same form<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n

Examplify – Download Today!<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

Students have to download and register Examplify<\/strong> (new version of exam software) for each new academic year. Students can download the software by following the directions on the Examsoft website: examsoft.com\/templelaw<\/a><\/span>. It’s not too early to do this! Use tlaw1234 as your password for taking the secured mock Exam and LAW123 as your password for the unsecured mock exam.<\/p>\n

Exam Information Sessions<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

To prepare you for final exams, we will be hosting the below exam information sessions. These sessions are designed to walk you through the exam process at Temple Law, download and register Examplify, and ask any questions you may have. Please bring with you the computer you will use for exams.<\/p>\n
