Polls are open from 7AM &#8211; 8PM.<\/p>\n<h3><em><strong>COVID Policies &#8211; Reminders<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Masks are to be worn at all times while indoors.<\/li>\n<li>Eating and drinking are not permitted at any time in any classrooms.<\/li>\n<li>You are only permitted to eat and drink at the designated locations in Klein and Barrack Hall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><em><strong>IP Moot Court Team &#8211; Deadline to Apply 10\/31\/21<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<div>Professor Gugliuzza, Dean Harris, and Professor Douglas, are planning on coaching up two two-student teams in the American Intellectual Property Law Association\u2019s Patent Law Moot Court competition. This is the most prestigious IP moot court competition in the country. The contest begsn on August 23rd and is open to all students currently enrolled at an ABA-accredited law school.<\/p>\n<p>The contest will offer a first-place prize of\u00a0<strong>$2500<\/strong>\u00a0and a second-place prize of\u00a0<strong>$500.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students are asked to choose between two topics: <a href=\"https:\/\/cqrcengage.com\/akc\/file\/h3t2FUQ9d1i\/Combo_website_FINAL_Aug23.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The impact of\u00a0\u201clawyers for dogs\u201d laws on animal cruelty cases or the constitutionality of mandatory spay\/neuter laws<\/a>.\u00a0 This year\u2019s topics offer students the unique opportunity to discuss legal perspectives on issues currently in the news and at the forefront of animal law.<\/p>\n<p>Entries will be judged by legal and public policy professionals with experience in laws impacting companion animals.<\/p>\n<p>Contestants can enter now through April 1, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. EST. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pabar.org\/site\/Foundation\/What-We-Do\/James-W-Stoudt-Memorial-Scholarship\">James W. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship of the Pennsylvania Bar Foundation<\/a> provides three, $3,000 scholarships, two of which are specifically dedicated to the support of historically underrepresented minority law students of African-American, Hispanic-American or Native American ancestry. Named after one of the Foundation\u2019s most devoted supporters, the James W. Stoudt Memorial Scholarship is open Pennsylvania residents in their second year of a full-time law school program or third year of a part-time program.<\/p>\n<p>To be eligible, applicants must be or become law student members of the Pennsylvania Bar Association which is free for law students choosing to become electronic members, demonstrate financial need and good academic standing and submit an application that includes: proof of residency; an unofficial copy of a current academic transcript; a maximum of two recommendations; and a 500-word essay that describes how the applicant plans to demonstrate his\/her potential for making a contribution to society and the legal profession.<\/p>\n<p>Applications are due December 1, 2021.
