The financial aid application process can be completed entirely online.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>STEP 1:<\/strong>Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA is available <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/h\/apply-for-aid\/fafsa\">here<\/a>. Click FAFSA Renewal if you would like your\u00a02020-2021\u00a0FAFSA information to be pre-filled with basic information from your\u00a02019-2020\u00a0FAFSA record.\u00a0<strong>School code, 003371<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>STEP 2:<\/strong>Temple Law School Financial Aid Request Form. This online should be completed by students who are interested in borrowing student loans for the 2020-2021 Academic Year. The application can be accessed <a href=\"https:\/\/www4.law.temple.edu\/FinancialAidRequests\/ReturningStudent\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>STEP 3:\u00a0<\/strong>Student Loans<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>o\u00a0<strong>Unsubsidized Loan:\u00a0<\/strong>If this is your first time borrowing student loans as a Temple Law Student you will need to complete an electronic Master Promissory Note or complete a new online entrance interview. Returning Temple Law borrowers are not required to complete these applications again.<\/p>\n<p>o\u00a0<strong>Graduate PLUS:<\/strong> A credit application is required regardless if you borrowed in previous semesters. The credit check application can be completed <a href=\"https:\/\/studentaid.gov\/app\/launchPLUS.action?plusType=gradPlus\">here<\/a>. The 2020-2021 credit check application will not be available until\u00a0May 1st, 2020. We will send an email reminder in early May letting you know when it is time to complete the application process. In fact, studies indicate that a stunning 70% of wrongful convictions stem from faulty eyewitness identifications.<\/p>\n<p>The Third Circuit Task Force on Eyewitness Identifications was created, in part, in response to these scientific developments and to the recognition that courts had begun to apply these developments in criminal cases. You can only move an\u00a0exam\u00a0that was originally scheduled for administration on a date that is prior to the selected\u00a0Saturday.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Bar Exam Tips &#8211; Week 9<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>When selecting your bar course provider, it is important to take into account a number of factors including the learning methodology of the course, the cost, and the track record of the course (their \u201cpass rates\u201d). Themis is one such provider. In addition to a regular (for cost) bar course, Themis also provides (for free to any student, not just Themis enrolled students), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themisbar.com\/mpre\">MPRE<\/a> practice questions and study guides as well as a \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.themisbar.com\/law-school-essentials\">law school essentials<\/a>\u201d course, free tools to help you get through law school.<\/p>\n<p><em>Keep a look out for bar tips delivered to you each week this semester in the Post!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Mindful Mondays<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Mindful Mondays is back at 12:00 pm in room K1A. Everyone can participate in a 20-minute guided mindfulness meditation practice.\u00a0 Mindful meditation involves paying attention on purpose to the present moment without judgement.\u00a0 No experience is necessary.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Important Changes to the 2020 MPRE\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>There are some important changes to the 2020 MPRE that all students should know about.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>August and October are the next available MPRE administrations. The MPRE is no longer administered during a single two-hour period on Saturday. Instead, students will select one of several two-hour appointment times on one of the two weekday test dates.<\/li>\n<li>The test will be administered on a computer at a Pearson VUE testing center. This is a new location compared to past administrations. Students will select a testing center when they schedule their test appointment.<\/li>\n<li><em>There is no late registration deadline<\/em>. The earlier students register with NCBE and schedule their appointment with Pearson VUE, the more likely they will be to get an appointment with their desired location, date, and test time.<\/li>\n<li>If students plan to seek accommodations under the ADA, they should apply for accommodations as soon as possible to allow NCBE time to review their application. Articles submitted for judging are encouraged to be of timely topics and have not been previously published. This contest is open to all law and LL.M students currently attending an ABA-accredited law school. The first-place winner will receive a number of awards including $2,500. A second and third place winner will also be selected.
