Upper Level Add\/Drop & Waitlists – Starts 1\/2\/20<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Waitlists are maintained for select courses (Writing Seminars, Professional Skills Courses except for Internal Clinics, and courses that were full at the end of Priority Registration).\u00a0\u00a0Waitlist registration will coincide with the Add\/Drop registration period which begins on Thursday, January 2nd<\/sup> at noon and ends on Friday, January 10th<\/sup> at 1:00 pm.\u00a0\u00a0For Waitlist Tips and step-by-step instructions on how to be added to a Waitlist, a PDF link is provided on the Course Schedule and Descriptions<\/a>\u00a0web page titled\u00a0Waiting Lists for Law School Courses<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Spring 2020 Financial Aid\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Spring 2020 Financial Aid is scheduled to be applied to student tuition accounts on Thursday, January 2, 2020<\/strong>. As a reminder, refunds issued via direct deposit are typically received 3-4 business days after funds are applied. Refunds are expected\u00a0to be deposited between January 6th – 9th<\/strong>\u00a0for most students.\u00a0 If you have not selected direct deposit as your preferred\u00a0refund method, you should expect to receive your refund check via mail 7-10 business days after funds are applied.\u00a0 If you wish to sign up to receive refunds via direct deposit or wish to change your banking information, please follow the steps in the following link:\u00a0https:\/\/bursar.temple.edu\/payments\/refunds<\/a><\/p>\n

Fall 2019 Grades<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Fall 2019 grades for Upper Level students will roll on Sunday, January 12th at 7:00 pm.\u00a0 Fall 2019 grades for 1L students will roll on Tuesday, January 14th at 3:50 pm.\u00a0 Please note that the system can take a few minutes to roll all of the grades – each roll should be complete within 15 minutes. To access your grades:<\/p>\n

    Singers Wanted for Habeas Chorus<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Many years ago, Temple Law had its own choir, the Habeas Chorus.\u00a0 We are bringing it back for this semester and are calling for participants!\u00a0 Anyone (students, faculty, and staff) at Temple Law is welcome to join.\u00a0 No singing experience is required. If interested, please send an email to Ludwig Wang (Ludwig.wang@temple.edu).\u00a0 We will then set up a lunch meeting to discuss this semester’s plan with everyone.<\/p>\n

    Peggy Browning Fellowship Applications\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    The Peggy Browning Fund is accepting applications for their 2020 fellowship program. This is a great opportunity for 1Ls & 2Ls (including Peggy Browning Alumni) to work for economic and social justice in labor-related organizations throughout the United States. Please apply online via their website<\/a> by Friday, January 17, 2020. The Peggy Browning Fund will continue to add fellowships during the month of December, so please keep watching their site!<\/p>\n

    Louis Jackson Memorial National Student Writing Competition<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    This writing competition is co-sponsored by Jackson Lewis LLP and the Institute for Law and the Worrkplace at IIT College of Law.\u00a0 Judges will consider papers on any topic relating to the law governing the workplace, such as employment law, labor law, employee benefits, or employment discrimination.\u00a0 One top honors award of $3,000 and two $1,000 awards will be presented.\u00a0 The submission deadline is\u00a0 January 22, 2020. You may find more information here<\/a>.<\/p>\n
