During the 90-minute moderated forum, the candidates will answer questions about their experience and why they seek election to the Superior Court. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions. Jessup International Moot Court Competition<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The Phillip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition is a competition that brings students from law schools across the country to compete with each other in a mock trial as if between nations at the International Court of Justice.\u00a0 The Jessup Team will be responsible for researching and writing legal briefs for both sides in a dispute between two fictitious countries.\u00a0 Students will then form two teams of two to argue a side before a panel of judges, the majority of whom are actual judges or attorneys involved in the practice of international law.\u00a0 This will involve a significant time commitment over the course of the late fall and beginning of the spring semester.\u00a0 Students may earn 2 credits for their Spring Semester.\u00a0 If interested, please email Kyle Offenbecher at\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:kyle.offenbecher@temple.edu\">kyle.offenbecher@temple.edu<\/a>for more details.<\/p>\n<h3>American College of Consumer Financial Services 2020 Writing Competition<\/h3>\n<p>The American College of Consumer Financial Services Lawyers is pleased to announce its 2020 annual writing competition to recognize significant written contributions in the field of U.S. consumer financial services law.\u00a0 Entries must have been written or published between November 15, 2019 and December 1, 2019.\u00a0 The deadline submission is December 1, 2019. Students are able to write on any contemporary business or economic concern with the award being publication as well as a $2500 cash prize. All essays must be received no later than February\u00a01, 2020.
