Virtual Events

SPIN Auction – New Items!

SPIN has received some very exciting new faculty and alumni donations which have been added to the Auction website.

New items include lunches with Federal Judges, with Philadelphia City Council Members, with Philadelphia Public Defenders, and with prestigious public interest attorneys (including from the Education Law Center, the Juvenile Law Center, & the PA Innocence Project). Also new to the Auction is a networking tutorial with the ACLU PA Legal Director, and a personalized video to you (or from you to a friend) from La’Darius Marshall, breakout star of Cheer on Netflix! These are just a few of the very exciting new donations up on the site.

If you would prefer to donate directly to SPIN, you can donate here. Each day of the Auction, we will be selecting one direct donor to thank with a feature on our Instagram and a vintage Dean’s Cup T-Shirt. Donations of any amount qualify for the chance to get a special thank you.

All donations fund SPIN grants which support students working unpaid public interest internships. In this uncertain time, it is even more important to support public interest students as we seek to serve our communities.

Please share the Auction widely in your networks and encourage your connections to bid and donate

There are only six days left of the Auction, so check out the items, create an account, and get bidding!

Bar Exam & MPRE Information

Bar Exam Tips – Week 17

Graduating students have an additional six months post graduation of access to Lexis, Westlaw, and Bloomberg.

Keep a look out for bar tips delivered to you each week this semester in the Post!

Important Changes to the 2020 MPRE

There are some important changes to the 2020 MPRE that all students should know about.

  • August and October are the next available MPRE administrations. The MPRE is no longer administered during a single two-hour period on Saturday. Instead, students will select one of several two-hour appointment times on one of the two weekday test dates.
  • The test will be administered on a computer at a Pearson VUE testing center. This is a new location compared to past administrations. Students will select a testing center when they schedule their test appointment.
  • There is no late registration deadline. The earlier students register with NCBE and schedule their appointment with Pearson VUE, the more likely they will be to get an appointment with their desired location, date, and test time.
  • If students plan to seek accommodations under the ADA, they should apply for accommodations as soon as possible to allow NCBE time to review their application. Those applying for accommodations should check their NCBE File Cabinets frequently for updates on their accommodations applications.

Any questions should be directed to NCBE at 608.280.8550 or by email to mpreregistration@ncbex.org (for questions about registration) or mpre.ada@ncbex.org (for questions about accommodations). You may visit their website here.
